✈️ Trips I would join in July if I didn’t already have plans:

🌍 Our Central Asia journey has officially begun

And it started with Turkmenistan.

Matt (our founder) partnered with Untamed Borders to take 8 Pangea members through one of the least-visited countries in the world.

Here's a taste of what the group got up to:

🏛️ Explored Ashgabat: a capital city full of white marble buildings and golden statues

🏰 Visited Nisa Fortress: a 2,000-year-old ruined city that was once the heart of the Parthian Empire

🗺️ Spent a day at Ancient Merv: a city that ruled the medieval world and sat at the crossroads of the Silk Road. It’s now an eerie, sprawling archaeological park in the middle of the desert.

🏕️ Camped overnight in yurts: deep in the Karakum Desert, it’s one of the world's largest sand deserts.

🔥 Visited the Darvaza Gas Crater: a 70-metre wide hole in the desert that's been on fire since the Soviet era.

🕌 Explored Kunya-Urgench: ancient mausoleums and crumbling fortresses from a civilization most people have never heard of.

Matt's chasing 193 countries and wants to bring as many people along as possible. More trips to wild, off-the-beaten-path destinations are in the works.

Keep an eye on future newsletters, we'll be dropping details on the next one soon 👀

Hosting a trip, retreat, coliving, workation, festival, or something special for digital nomads and travelers? We’d love to explore how we can share it with the Pangea community.

🌍 Community Spotlight: Meet Jamie Foti

Jamie is an OG Pangea member, a registered dietitian, and I was truly blessed to meet her in person earlier this year at Nomad Week in Cape Town. She went from fighting autoimmune disease in her twenties to living her fullest life abroad, so we did a Q&A. Here's how it went:

How did you first get into nomading?

“Because Pangea founder, Matt, bullied me into it! After spending three months abroad while also paying rent in NYC, Matt told me I was insane to not be a full-time nomad…and I listened (for better or worse!). The longer story is that I dealt with autoimmune issues for the majority of my twenties. After I reversed them and finally felt like a human again, I knew I needed to live life to the fullest. To me, that meant exploring as many places as I could. Meeting an amazing community through Pangea was the absolute icing on top.”

How do you use Pangea day to day?

“I think I’m Pangea’s number one user for adding recommendations lol. It’s the best way to store all my favorite spots and send to friends who inevitably ask for recs. Super excited to see where this feature goes after the Flaire acquisition.  I also love getting notified about where my friends are headed. I fall in the nomad camp of “follow my friends somewhere exciting” rather than taking the lead on planning and seeing what they plan helps me avoid that work. Pangea lets me work smarter, not harder.”

How do you balance work and travel?

“For me, it’s always felt easier to work on the road. Back at home, there was no drive to finish up as quickly as possible. When a morning hike or dinner in an exciting new city calls my name, there's a drive to power through work as quickly as possible. I’ve also met so many impressive entrepreneurs through this group and they were beyond helpful as I launched my own business. The amount of networking (and genuinely helpful connections) I’ve done on the road outpaces any stuffy conference I’ve ever been to!”

You're a dietitian… how do you stay healthy while moving around so much?

“For me, everything I do is to support my energy. When traveling, I need energy to squeeze in a hike, museum trip, or walking tour before work. I need energy to keep up with these crazy nomads! So making choices that give me energy the majority of the time, like a balanced breakfast, a morning routine, making sure I’m eating my veggies, is not even a question. I keep it easy by having a list of 5-minute meals I can throw together no matter what: a simple yogurt bowl, an egg-veggie scramble, a salad with premade proteins. When I prioritize nutrition in those moments, it gives me the flexibility to have more fun dinners (or drinks!) out and not feel negative effects from them. My entire nutrition philosophy is that your nutrition should add to your life, it shouldn’t run it. Think minimum effort for maximum return.”

What would you say to someone trying to get healthier but feels overwhelmed?

“Start small! Let’s say you’re currently getting 1 cup of veggies a day. Commit to making it 2 cups. That’s truly as simple as adding a cup of baby carrots alongside your sandwich at lunch. Once you master that, do more. There’s no need to overhaul your life overnight as long as you keep getting better. If you’re looking for more practical tips for how to stay healthy on the road I recommend checking out my Substack, Newsletter, or Instagram/Tiktok!”

For anyone looking to feel their best, whether on the road or otherwise, how can you help?

“Helping people feel their best so they can actually live their life is exactly why I do this work! Whether you're dealing with something specific, such as stubborn GI issues, hormone issues, low energy, or just know you could feel better than you do, I can help you figure out what's actually going on and fix it. I offer flexible session packages, including a Nomad Check-In built specifically for life on the road, and I can order and interpret labs (think nutrient deficiency, hormone, gut health, and conventional labs) if we need a deeper look. I've helped nomads cut their cholesterol in half, reverse prediabetes, and completely eliminate chronic GI issues and period pain all while living full, non-conventional lives. No need to commit to anything just yet, simply book a free discovery call and we'll figure out together if it's a good fit.

Oh, and make sure to use code PANGEA20 for 20% off your first session.”

🚢 What if you swapped your office for a cruise ship?

Nomad Cruise is exactly what it sounds like. There's Starlink on board, so you technically could work, but nobody's forcing you. You can join workshops, masterminds, and a few hundred of your new travel besties. Whether you're a full-time nomad or just nomad curious, this is a community worth sailing with.

Two sailings coming up:

🤖AI Edition (Sep 19-26, 2026): Cross the Atlantic from Southampton to New York with 150 founders focused on AI, building, and scaling.

🌴Caribbean Edition (Nov 2-16, 2026): Sail from Barcelona to the Caribbean with 300 nomads across 15 days and 4 islands.

✈️ Travel plans & upcoming trips

As you're reading this, I'm heading to Pennsylvania to celebrate one of my best friends' weddings 🥂

But my Asiasummer is still very top of mind.

I've been deep in planning mode, but had no idea where I wanted to go. My travels in the past have been based on opportunity, but this trip is more about challenging myself and going somewhere completely new. Then I found a flight to Korea for 35k points and $5.60.

Yes, $5.60.

So I took it as a sign & Korea is officially where the journey will begin.

If you're new to the points and miles game or just want an easy way to start earning without a travel credit card, check out Rove. It's free to join, there are no fees, and you earn transferable miles from booking travel and shopping online. You'll get 750 miles just for signing up here.
